Hantz Foundation focuses on community transformation within one square mile of Detroit’s east side neighborhood. Through partnerships within the community, our goal is to connect students to high-quality education, resources, and career opportunities that are the stepping stones for future success.
The nonprofit sister company to Hantz Woodlands, Hantz Foundation was started by long-time Detroit resident, John Hantz, to address community needs beyond beautification efforts. Since 2013, the Foundation has worked hand in hand with school partners to create opportunities for students and teachers. Meaningful change happens gradually and requires a long-term commitment—the Hantz Foundation focuses on just one square mile in order to be actively involved with our partners every step of the way.
